RUHE Photgraphy

A new lens

Trying to decide on which to get.

The Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 L II
Fantastic Lens for going wide. The digital picture considers it to be “one of the most important lenses in Canon’s lineup.” Its fast, fantastic image quality and super wide.

Or

The Canon 85mm f/1.2 L II
Canon has described this lens as their “definitive portrait lens”. While remaining sharp at 1.2 while giving fantastic bokeh, you can be forgiven for thinking “Ben you take portraits, this is your must have lens. To be honest I am leaning to this lens. However, the wide factor of the 16-35 is also appealing but, everyone (ok so I am exaggerating this) is going wide on flickr. Wide angle is the new black it seems.

I’ll ponder some more before deciding which to dash out and drop hard earned dollars on.

One small note, if you need canon reviews. This is a great site.
